本日7月21日、国土交通省から、「ふくしま浜通りサイクルルート」がナショナルサイクルルート（NCR）に指定されることが発表されました。

浜サイは、全国117のサイクルモデルルートの中から選ばれた、日本を代表し、世界に誇り得るサイクリングルートです。

今回の指定は、東北地方では初めてとなります。

💡 ナショナルサイクルルート（NCR）とは？

優れた観光資源を、安全で快適な走行環境や休憩・宿泊施設、案内表示、情報発信などの取組と結び付け、日本を代表し、世界に誇り得るサイクリングルートとして国土交通大臣が指定する制度です。

国内外から多くのサイクリストを呼び込み、サイクルツーリズムを通じて、地域の活性化や観光振興につなげることを目的としています。

🚲 ふくしま浜通りサイクルルート「浜サイ」とは？

浜サイは、福島県の新地町からいわき市まで、太平洋沿岸を南北につなぐ約180kmのサイクリングルートです。

雄大な太平洋を望む美しい海岸線をはじめ、緑豊かな里山、温泉、地域ならではのグルメ、歴史や文化など、浜通りの多彩な魅力を楽しむことができます。

また、沿線には東日本大震災・原子力災害の記憶と教訓を伝える震災伝承施設や、復興に向けて新たなまちづくりが進む地域があります。

美しい景色や食、地域の人々との交流とともに、震災からの復興に挑み続ける浜通りの今と、未来に向けて歩む姿を、自転車だからこそ感じられるルートです。

今回の指定は、沿線自治体や関係団体、サイクル事業者、地域の皆様をはじめ、これまで浜サイの整備や受入環境の充実に携わってくださった多くの方々の御尽力によるものです。関係する全ての皆様に、心から感謝申し上げます。

これからも、誰もが安全で快適にサイクリングを楽しめる環境づくりを進めるとともに、浜サイの魅力を国内外へ広く発信し、浜通りを訪れる新たな人の流れや地域との交流につなげてまいります。

正式な指定は、7月23日に国土交通省で開催される指定記念式において行われる予定です。

🎉 Congratulations, first in Tohoku!
The “Fukushima Hamadori Cycle Route (Hama-Sai)” has been designated as a National Cycle Route! 🚲✨

Today, July 21, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism announced that the “Fukushima Hamadori Cycle Route” will be designated as a National Cycle Route (NCR).

Hama-Sai is a cycling route chosen from 117 model cycle routes across Japan, representing the country and something we can be proud of on the global stage.

This designation is the first for the Tohoku region.

💡 What is a National Cycle Route (NCR)?

It’s a system where the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism designates cycling routes that can represent Japan and be a source of pride worldwide by combining excellent tourism resources with safe and comfortable riding environments, rest and accommodation facilities, signage, and information dissemination.

The goal is to attract many cyclists from both Japan and abroad and to promote local revitalization and tourism through cycle tourism.

🚲 What is the Fukushima Hamadori Cycle Route “Hama-Sai”?

Hama-Sai is a cycling route of about 180 km along the Pacific coast, connecting Shinchi Town and Iwaki City in Fukushima Prefecture.

You can enjoy the diverse attractions of Hamadori, from the beautiful coastline overlooking the majestic Pacific Ocean, to lush satoyama landscapes, hot springs, local gourmet food, history, and culture.

Along the route, there are also facilities that pass on the memories and lessons of the Great East Japan Earthquake and nuclear disaster, as well as areas where new town development is progressing toward recovery.

It’s a route where you can feel the current state of Hamadori, which continues to challenge itself in recovery from the disaster, along with its scenery, food, and interactions with local people—something that’s unique to cycling.

This designation is thanks to the efforts of many people, including local governments along the route, related organizations, cycle businesses, and community members who have worked on developing Hama-Sai and enhancing its welcoming environment. We sincerely thank everyone involved.

Going forward, we will continue to create an environment where anyone can safely and comfortably enjoy cycling, widely share the appeal of Hama-Sai both domestically and internationally, and connect this to new flows of visitors and engagement with the local community.

The official designation will take place at a commemorative ceremony held by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism on July 23.

目的是吸引國內外大量的自行車愛好者，透過自行車旅遊促進地區活性化與觀光振興。

浜騎是一條約180公里的自行車路線，從福島縣的新地町到いわき市，沿著太平洋海岸南北連結。

沿途可以欣賞壯麗的太平洋海景、美麗的海岸線、綠意盎然的鄉間山林、溫泉、在地美食、歷史與文化等濱通的多樣魅力。

此外，沿線也有展示東日本大震災與核災害的紀念設施，以及向復興邁進的新城鎮規劃地區。

這條路線讓你一邊欣賞美景、美食、與當地居民交流，一邊感受濱通持續挑戰災後復興的現在和面向未來的樣貌，這正是騎自行車才能親身體驗的魅力。

這次的指定，是沿線自治體、相關團體、自行車業者以及地域居民等，過去致力於整備浜騎與完善接待環境的許多人努力的成果。對所有相關人士，衷心感謝。
